Jesús Ángel Paz Galarraga, often referred to as 'el indio Paz,' was a Venezuelan politician and a notable leader within the Acción Democrática party. His decision to leave AD in 1967 alongside other leaders to form the Movimiento Electoral del Pueblo (MEP) further illustrated the political fragmentation that the party experienced during its evolution.
