Jette Užāne
Jette Užāne (1924–2007), known as Cimdu Jettiņa, was a renowned Latvian folk art master, thinker, and storyteller celebrated for her intricate glove designs. Living her life in a wheelchair in Lejnieki, she inspired many with her strong spirit and pure thoughts, attracting visitors from various fields including art and literature. In 1995, she was awarded the Three Stars Order by Latvian President Guntis Ulmanis for her contributions to culture.
