Jewgienija Sziszkowa was a prominent figure skater from Russia, who, alongside her partner Wadim Naumov, achieved notable success in the sport, securing eight medals at world and European competitions, including a gold medal at the 1994 World Championships. Her life was cut short in a tragic plane crash in January 2022, which also claimed the lives of other athletes and left their son, Maxim Naumov, to continue their legacy in figure skating.
