Jheyner Alberto Carmona

Jheyner Alberto Carmona, a 29-year-old Colombian ex-soldier, has been detained since July 2021 in connection with the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse. During a court hearing in Haiti, Carmona claimed he was misled into believing he was part of a security operation for a U.S. company and stated that he did not receive the promised salary.
