Jhon Harold García

Jhon Harold García is the mayor of López de Micay, a municipality in the Cauca department of Colombia. He has been actively involved in local governance and community development, particularly focusing on social and humanitarian initiatives. Recently, he gained media attention for his calls to respect the life and freedom of nine contractors who were kidnapped by dissidents of the Farc while they were on their way to a social intervention event. García is working with national and international organizations, including the UN and the Red Cross, to secure the safe release of the abducted individuals.
