Jhonny Plaza is the president of the Centro Agrícola de Atacames and played a significant role in promoting local cacao production. He was in the news for recalling a previous large-scale chocolate event held in Atacames and supporting the recent achievement of Esmeraldas in setting a Guinness World Record for the largest cup of chocolate.
