Jigme Pema Wangchen

Jigme Pema Wangchen is the 12th spiritual leader of the Drukpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, born in 1963 in India. He has dedicated over four decades to spreading Buddhist teachings worldwide while initiating humanitarian projects that address environmental issues, education, healthcare, and heritage conservation. His efforts have earned him recognition from the United Nations with various awards, including those for Millennium Development Goals and as a protector of the Himalayan region.
