Jimena Fernández Bonelli

Jimena Fernández Bonelli is a prominent Uruguayan lawyer and human rights advocate, currently serving as the director of the National Institute of Human Rights and Ombudsman (INDDHH). She has been active in promoting children's rights and has played a key role in the discussions regarding the establishment of a parliamentary commissioner for childhood in Uruguay. Recently, she participated in a commission meeting where she defended the INDDHH's stance against UNICEF's interpretation of the Committee on the Rights of the Child's recommendations.
