Jinting Guo

Jinting Guo was a Chinese student who arrived in New Zealand in 2022 to pursue postgraduate studies at Victoria University of Wellington. He developed a passion for diving shortly after his arrival and was known to enjoy the activity when weather and work permitted. Tragically, Guo went missing during a diving excursion, leading to a search and subsequent investigations that concluded he likely drowned in a diving accident while free diving alone. His body has not been recovered, but a bone found in the vicinity has been identified as belonging to him.
