Jismar Peña Rojas was a promising 16-year-old baseball player from Limón, Costa Rica, recognized for his talent in the sport from a young age. He was a student at Colegio Diurno de Limón and played for the minor leagues of the Asociación de Béisbol de Santo Domingo de Heredia. Tragically, he was killed in a shooting incident along with another teenager, which is believed to have been a targeted attack. Jismar was remembered fondly by his coaches and teammates for his skills as a third baseman and as one of the best hitters on his team. His untimely death has left a significant impact on the local baseball community.
