João André Ferreira Martins was a former military officer in Brazil, known for his alleged involvement in organized crime. He was linked to the notorious 'Escritório do Crime' group and was accused of participating in various criminal activities, which led to his exclusion from the police force in 2014. Martins was murdered in March 2016, and his email was later used as a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation of the assassination of councilwoman Marielle Franco.
