Joaquín Antonio González Gautreaux
Joaquín Antonio González Gautreaux is the Vice Minister of Agro-Industry Promotion in the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Mipymes (MICM). He is a lawyer with a degree from UNIBE and has furthered his education in behavioral ethics and commercial law at the University of Oxford, as well as international public law and sustainable development in various institutions in the Dominican Republic and the United States. Recently, he has been in the news for announcing that the Dominican Republic will become the first country in Latin America and the Caribbean to establish a designation of origin for the 'Oro Verde' avocado from Cambita, San Cristóbal, benefiting 2,000 local farmers and marking a significant advancement in the country's agro-industrial sector.
