Joaquín Gatto

Joaquín Gatto was a 12-year-old boy from Ramos Mejía, Argentina, who tragically died after being crushed by an unanchored soccer goal during a camping trip with the Exploradores Argentinos de Don Bosco in January 2023. His parents, Serena and Adrián, are currently advocating for a national law that mandates all soccer goals to be securely anchored and regularly inspected to prevent similar accidents in the future. Joaquín's untimely death has spurred his parents to push for the 'Ley Joaquín' to honor their son and ensure the safety of children in sports.
