Joe Tasker

Joe Tasker was a distinguished British mountaineer and writer, known for his pioneering climbs and literary contributions to the mountaineering community. He was recognized for his proficiency in high-altitude climbing and his ability to tackle some of the most challenging peaks in the world. Tasker met a tragic end in 1982 during an ambitious ascent of Mount Everest, where he, along with his climbing partner, disappeared in the notorious 'death zone' while climbing without supplemental oxygen.
