Joel Nicholson

Joel Nicholson is a mentor and state care survivor from Tokoroa, New Zealand, who has turned his past struggles with addiction and crime into a powerful motivation to help at-risk youth. He co-founded Reconex, an alternative education program aimed at guiding excluded students towards better futures. Drawing from his own experiences of growing up in a challenging environment and facing systemic issues, Nicholson passionately advocates for young people, providing them with support, skills, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
