Joel Vasconcelos Santos

Joel Vasconcelos Santos was a prominent student leader who was arrested in 1971 during Brazil's military dictatorship and subsequently disappeared. His case remained unresolved for decades until his identity was confirmed in 2014 through fingerprint analysis. He is recognized as the 15th politically disappeared person identified by the National Truth Commission.
