Joëlle Mailloux

Joëlle Mailloux is a Canadian plasma physicist who has been a key figure at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in the UK since 1999. As the scientific lead of the JET (Joint European Torus) project, she oversees experiments focused on nuclear fusion, which aims to provide a nearly limitless and clean energy source. Her work contributes significantly to the understanding of plasma behavior and the development of next-generation fusion reactors, addressing some of the most pressing energy challenges of our time.
