Johannes Pressl

Johannes Pressl is the President of the Austrian Municipal Association (Gemeindebund) and a member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since taking office a year and a half ago, he has focused on advancing housing and construction issues in Austria. As the former mayor of Ardagger, he is acutely aware of the challenges posed by numerous vacant properties owned by individuals who choose not to bring them to market. Pressl has been vocal about the need to address the issue of building vacancy and has actively engaged in discussions and conferences, such as the recent one titled 'Abandoned Houses, Lost Opportunities', aimed at finding solutions to combat property vacancy in urban centers.
