John Gathungu

John Gathungu is the Executive Director of Food Banking Kenya (FBK), an organization focused on alleviating hunger and food insecurity in Kenya. He has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at redistributing surplus food to vulnerable communities, highlighting the importance of responsible food management and the role of private sector partnerships in addressing food waste. Recently, he was in the news due to a collaboration between Carrefour and FBK aimed at redistributing safe, surplus food to help thousands of families facing food insecurity in Kenya.
