John Ogutu

John Ogutu was a 33-year-old Kenyan teacher who was tragically shot and killed during protests in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on October 29, 2023. He had been residing in Tanzania for nearly a decade, teaching at Sky School Primary in Kinondoni. His death has prompted calls for a thorough investigation, as Kenyan MP Babu Owino urged the government to engage with Tanzanian authorities to uncover the circumstances surrounding his demise and ensure the safety of Kenyans living abroad.
