Johnny Dixon

Johnny Dixon was a celebrated Costa Rican musician known for his versatile singing career that spanned over six decades. Born in Limón, he began performing at the young age of 19 before moving to the United States, where he initially studied agronomy. However, his passion for music led him to become a prominent figure in various genres including blues, gospel, jazz, and calypso. Throughout his career, Dixon performed on nearly every continent and collaborated with numerous renowned artists, leaving a lasting impact on the music scene. He passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 82.
