Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi

Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi was Nigeria's first military Head of State, serving from January 16 to July 29, 1966. Known for his vision of a unified Nigeria, Aguiyi-Ironsi's administration sought to centralize power, which led to significant resistance, particularly from northern military officers.
