Johnson Olony

Lt. Gen. Johnson Olony is a senior military leader in South Sudan, known for his leadership of the Aguelek militia, which is affiliated with the Shilluk ethnic group. He also holds a high-ranking position within the South Sudan People's Defence Forces (SSPDF). Recently, he has been mentioned in the context of the escalating violence against the Nuer ethnic group, as the South Sudanese government has deployed his militia to support military operations against the Nuer in Upper Nile State.
