Jon Albretsen

Jon Albretsen is a marine scientist affiliated with the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research, where he specializes in the study of sea surface temperatures. Recently, he highlighted concerns regarding unusually high sea temperatures in Norway, which reached nearly 24 degrees Celsius, a significant deviation from the seasonal average. Albretsen warned that these elevated temperatures could adversely affect marine life, particularly fish farming, as the warmer waters lead to decreased oxygen levels, potentially resulting in increased fish mortality.
