Jón Kr. Ólafsson

Jón Kr. Ólafsson is an 85-year-old Icelandic singer and a former member of the band Facon, which was active from 1962 to 1969. Known for his exceptional singing voice, he has dedicated over 40 years to performing in church choirs and has also sung at various events in Reykjavík. He founded the museum Melódíur minninganna in Bíldudal, focusing on preserving the history of Icelandic popular music. Jón's contributions to the local music scene and his efforts to maintain the cultural heritage of his community have earned him respect and admiration.
