Jonathan Kao
Jonathan Kao is an associate professor at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering, specializing in the development of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). His research focuses on creating innovative systems that enable individuals with motor impairments, such as paralysis, to regain a degree of independence in their daily lives through advanced technology. Recently, he led a study on a non-invasive, wearable BCI that employs artificial intelligence to interpret users' intentions, significantly improving control over robotic arms and computer interfaces.
