Jonathan Sand

Jonathan Sand, 33, is an Indigenous activist from Manitoba whose personal experiences with the child welfare system have informed his advocacy work. Having been removed from his mother's care at the age of four and placed in multiple foster homes, he highlights the ongoing racism within the system and the detrimental impact it has on First Nation families. His testimony sheds light on the emotional trauma faced by children and parents affected by Child and Family Services (CFS).
