Jorge Campoverde

Jorge Campoverde is the manager of the Empresa Pública Metropolitana de Obras Públicas (Epmmop) in Ecuador. He has been actively involved in addressing the urgent issues related to the erosion of the Monjas River, particularly in the Carapungo and Pomasqui areas. Under his leadership, measures have been implemented to reinforce the slopes and mitigate the risks posed by natural erosion, including the closure of service roads to ensure public safety and the initiation of various protective projects expected to begin in mid-2024.
