Jorge Humberto Figueroa, known by his aliases 'El Perris' and '27', was a prominent leader within the Sinaloa Cartel, specifically aligned with the faction led by the sons of Joaquín 'Chapo' Guzmán. He was a high-profile target for the DEA, which had issued a $1 million bounty for his capture due to his involvement in trafficking fentanyl and money laundering. Figueroa gained notoriety for orchestrating violent confrontations with authorities, notably the infamous 'Culiacanazo' incident in 2019. His criminal activities contributed to the ongoing violence in Sinaloa, which has resulted in thousands of deaths amid a power struggle within the cartel. He was killed in a confrontation with the Mexican Army during a federal operation aimed at his arrest.
