Jorge Luis Mansilla Paiva, also known as 'alias Panetón', is a notorious figure in Peru, recognized for his leadership of the criminal gang 'Las Hienas del Norte' during the 1990s. He was involved in a series of violent crimes, including a significant bank heist in Trujillo in 1996 where he stole $6 million and the murder of two police officers in 1999. After serving 26 years of a 35-year sentence for crimes including terrorism and murder, he was released in July 2023 due to good behavior, despite having a history of further criminal activities while incarcerated.
