Jorge Luiz Almeida da Silveira

Jorge Luiz Almeida da Silveira, also known as Pai Jorge de Oxossi, is a prominent leader in the Candomblé religious community in Brazil. He coordinates a terreiro in Ceilândia, a neighborhood in the outskirts of Brasília, and has been involved in various social projects aimed at supporting marginalized communities. Recently, he made headlines due to his association with a controversial real estate auction involving the Brazilian postal service, Correios, where his NGO was the only bidder for a property valued at R$ 280 million.
