José Antonio Alvarado Martínez, also known by his alias El Vara, is a prominent figure in organized crime, particularly recognized as a plaza chief in Cuautla, Morelos. He has been linked to numerous violent incidents and is considered one of the main perpetrators of the escalating violence in the region, with reports attributing around 200 homicides to his criminal activities. Alvarado has been associated with the Guerreros Unidos cartel and is known for his alliances with other criminal leaders, operating with significant impunity until his recent capture.
