José Antonio Bruña is a honey producer based in the small Spanish village of Porto de Sanabria, who has been severely impacted by the wildfires in August 2023, which burned thousands of hectares of land and jeopardized local agriculture. Despite his own beehives remaining intact, Bruña anticipates a 50% reduction in honey production due to the destruction of local flora essential for his bees.
