
José António Coxito Granado
José António Coxito Granado was a Portuguese immigrant who, at the age of 12, left his hometown of Escalhão in search of opportunities in Brazil. Arriving in Rio de Janeiro in 1857, he established Granado, one of the country's most traditional pharmacies, in 1870. His legacy continues today as Granado expands internationally, with plans to open new stores in Portugal.
