José Carballal

José Carballal is a prominent Ashtanga yoga teacher based in Madrid, Spain. He began his yoga journey in 2000 and immersed himself in Ashtanga yoga in 2001, eventually traveling to Mysore, India, in 2002 to study under the esteemed R Sharath Jois. José holds official authorization from his teacher to instruct the first and second series of Ashtanga yoga. He co-directs Mysore House Madrid with Rafael Martínez, where they cultivate a thriving yoga community. José's teaching focuses on promoting deep self-awareness and consciousness development, which he credits for his transformative life experiences. He is set to share his expertise in Punta del Este from December 12 to 14, 2025.
