José de Antepara
José de Antepara was a prominent figure in the early independence movement of Ecuador, known for his role in organizing clandestine meetings aimed at promoting the ideals of freedom against Spanish colonial rule. He was instrumental in the meeting known as La Fragua de Vulcano, which took place in 1820 and set the stage for the independence of Guayaquil.
