José Dorian Jiménez Salazar

José Dorian Jiménez Salazar was a prominent political figure serving as the Secretary of Government for the municipality of Pradera, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. He held this position since 2025 and had a background in human and organizational development, in addition to being a journalist and radio host. Prior to his role as Secretary, he was a city councilor for the Conservative Party from 2020 to 2023 and even ran for mayor of Pradera. Tragically, Jiménez was assassinated on September 9, 2023, by armed assailants while watching a football match, an incident that highlights the ongoing violence faced by public officials in Colombia.
