José Etchegoyen
José Etchegoyen was the biological father of Luna, a girl born in Uganda in 2012. He was involved in a highly troubled family dynamic that included reports of domestic violence and psychological abuse towards Luna. After moving back with Luna and her adoptive mother in Maldonado, Etchegoyen's relationship with his daughter remained fraught, leading to tragic events where he fatally shot Luna following a medical appointment on August 19, 2025, before taking his own life.
