José Gregorio Lastra Hermidia

José Gregorio Lastra Hermidia, commonly referred to as 'Lastra', is a Mexican national with ties to the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG). Originally from Veracruz, Lastra was reported missing in August 2020 while traveling in Chiapas. Recently, he gained attention after being arrested as a suspected recruiter and leader of a criminal cell for the CJNG, particularly in connection with operations at the Izaguirre ranch in Teuchitlán. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a 46-year-old man with a distinct tattoo of the letter 'A' on his left arm and a large image of San Judas Tadeo on his back. His capture was the result of intelligence work, confirming his involvement in criminal activities, including training operations for the cartel.
