
José Leonardo Hortúa Blandón
José Leonardo Hortúa Blandón, also known as 'Mascota', was a notorious figure in the Colombian criminal underworld, recognized as the heir to the criminal organization 'Los Rastrojos'. This group was heavily involved in drug trafficking and protected cocaine supply routes and processing labs for major drug lords in the Norte del Valle cartel since the early 2000s. Hortúa was captured in 2012 but was granted house arrest until his assassination in January 2013, just a month before the birth of his son Lyan Hortúa.
