José Manuel Anes
José Manuel Anes, an 81-year-old former president of the Observatory of Security, Organized Crime, and Terrorism (OSCOT), was recently in the news after being stabbed at his home, allegedly by his daughter. Anes, who is also a university professor and author, was found by police with multiple stab wounds and has a known history of domestic violence in his family. He was transported to São José Hospital in Lisbon for treatment, while his daughter has been detained by the Polícia Judiciária.
