José María Ciganda

José María Ciganda is a notable Uruguayan audiovisual director and cinematographer, recognized for his extensive work in television, film, and documentaries. Hailing from Carmelo, he began his career in Colombia at Caracol TV before returning to Uruguay, where he contributed to the production company Imágenes during the 1980s and 1990s. Ciganda has directed and worked on various significant projects, including the films 'El Chevrolé' and 'Jamás leí a Onetti,' as well as the animated series 'Los Tatitos.' His recent appointment as the director of TV Ciudad marks his return to a role he previously held from 2001 to 2002, following the recent changes in leadership at the Montevideo Intendancy.
