José Maria Panoeiro is a federal prosecutor and member of the Group for the Combat of Organized Crime in Brazil. He played a key role in requesting the suspension of a substantial asset freeze affecting executives of Americanas, arguing there was insufficient evidence to link them directly to the alleged fraud.
