José Matías Bado

José Matías Bado was a prominent Paraguayan military officer born on February 24, 1843, in Guazucuá. He is best known for his valor and leadership during the War of the Triple Alliance, where he earned recognition as a courageous and strategic fighter. Bado tragically lost his life in combat on August 29, 1868, at the age of 25, but his legacy continues to be celebrated as a national hero in Paraguay.
