José Mouta Liz

José Mouta Liz was a prominent figure in Portuguese history, known as one of the founders of the Forças Populares 25 de Abril (FP-25), a leftist terrorist organization active in the late 20th century. Born in 1937, he had a background in economics and held a position at the Banco de Portugal. Despite his continuous denial of involvement in terrorist activities, he was convicted and faced a lengthy prison sentence, which was later reduced, though he never served time due to amnesty laws. Mouta Liz was associated with various radical leftist movements and was involved in significant criminal activities, including a high-profile robbery. He passed away at the age of 86 in a Lisbon hospital.
