José Rafael Brenes Vega

José Rafael Brenes Vega is a prominent Costa Rican economist with a distinguished career in public finance and securities. He served as the Director of the Bolsa Nacional de Valores for 17 years and held significant positions including Deputy Minister of Finance and Deputy Minister of Planning. Brenes is also known for his role as Manager of the Central Bank of Costa Rica and has a master's degree in applied economics from Ohio State University.
