José Sagasti

José Sagasti is a Peruvian politician and former interim president who served from November 2020 to July 2021. He took office during a period of significant political turmoil following the ousting of President Martín Vizcarra. Sagasti, an academic and engineer by training, was known for his efforts to restore stability and foster dialogue amidst widespread protests and political discontent in the country.
