Josef Michael Kreutzer

Known by his stage name JOMI, Josef Michael Kreutzer was a renowned deaf mime artist who captivated audiences for over 40 years. Born in 1952 in Bous, Germany, he studied under the legendary Marcel Marceau at the École de Mimodrame in Paris. JOMI's performances were celebrated in the Saarland and internationally, characterized by their blend of parody, lyricism, and social commentary. He also served as an instructor in body language in Saarbrücken and conducted various workshops. His impactful work included notable performances in Luxembourg, where he showcased his talent in venues such as the Mierscher Theater and the Luxembourg Cathedral. JOMI passed away at the age of 73, leaving behind a legacy as a master of his craft.
