Josefa Olivares

Josefa Olivares was a Spanish seamstress and socialist activist who lived through the Spanish Civil War and its aftermath. Born in the early 20th century, she experienced the fear and oppression of life under Franco's regime, yet remained committed to her beliefs and the welfare of others. Her resilience was evident when she emerged from a period of depression following Franco's death, reclaiming her voice and participating in the democratic revival of Spain.
