Josemaría Escrivá

Josemaría Escrivá was a Spanish priest and the founder of Opus Dei, an influential and controversial Catholic organization established in 1928. He is known for promoting the idea that everyday life can be a path to holiness, but his legacy is marred by accusations of the organization's secretive practices and its alleged involvement in the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. Escrivá was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 2002.
